Coal Country Housing and Development’s Board consists of volunteers from the community. The board members donate their time and talents to the CCHD. They keep the organization running managing the properties, repairs, and financial requirements of the organization. Board members typically serve a 2 year renewable term.

Coal Country Housing and Development is a a 501c3 non-profite corporation providing qualtiy housing for low inclome familes in Carbon County UT.
CCHD was incorporated over 25 years ago to help provide housing for low income families and individuals. CCHD owns and maintains several properties around Carbon County, UT. The properties are typically single family homes in residential neighborhoods. In this way, low income families’ financial situations are not evident to the neighbors. The house is just another house on the street. Additionally, low income families are not all concentrated in one area.
CCHD has just recently updated and remodeled 4 units with new carpet, cabinets flooring and windows trying to improve the quality of the properties.

Looking to the future, CCHD would like to focus on tiny homes that are handicap accessible for veterans and others with disabilities.
